SOLUTION - What works for me is launching game under Win98 compatibility setting the game to WINDOWED MODE (this is important as tabbing out of the game will likely cause a crash and it doesnt allow tabbing out in battle) and then launching the Task Manager. Truth is game simply gets condused on Menu-to-Battle switch and freezes. I was fiddling around with the game and all sorts of options and as i see its nothing to do with compatibility it all comes down to Multi-core processing and Win98 sets core amount to 1 automaticaly. Let me tell you why some people say for it works on Win7 compatibility some say it only properly works on Win98 etc etc.
